Cold Weather Guidelines

Posted by on Oct 3, 2017 in Announcement | 0 comments

Now that it is getting colder outside, students should be prepared daily for cold weather situations. Proper attire includes a warm coat, mittens/gloves and a head covering. During snowy and windy conditions snow boots and snow pants must be worn. District winter weather guidelines state the students will not be sent outside for recess when the wind chill or temperature reaches -10°F.

Please note: if your child wants to play in the snow, snow pants and snow boots are required.

Outside Rules:
If the temperature is 50° and below, students must wear a coat.

If the temperatures is 51-60°, students can wear long sleeves/sweatshirts.

If the temperature is 60° and above, students can wear short sleeves.
