Winter Weather Guidelines

Now that it is getting colder outside, students should be prepared daily for cold weather situations.  Proper attire includes a warm coat, mittens/gloves and a head covering. During snowy and windy conditions, snow boots and snow pants must be worn. District winter weather guidelines state the students will not be sent outside for recess when the wind chill or temperature reaches -10 degrees F. Welcome to Prairie Rose!

Our doors opened for the very first time on August 21, 2013. Our building currently houses more than 515 students in grades K-5. Our students are instructed and led by a quality staff consisting of 64 certified teachers and classified staff. Our new building features updated classrooms with state of the art technology. Our library has a collection of over 10,000 books which can be checked out through our computerized checkout system.

The Student Lighthouse Team from PRE organized and implemented The Great Kindness Challenge during the weeks of February 10-21st. The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement.  An all school assembly was held to kick-off The Great Kindness Challenge.
